The District of Columbia lies at the heart of the Washington Metro area surrounded by Maryland and Virginia. Washington is comprised of four quadrants: Northwest, Northeast, Southeast and Southwest. The District is a collection of unique, diverse neighborhoods with varied housing options ranging from historic Victorians to colorful Federal row homes, sleek new condos to soaring lofts. While many well-established neighborhoods look as they did years ago, many parts of the city are undergoing a dynamic change. Capital bikeshare stations are located throughout the city. Regan National airport serves D.C., and BWI and Dulles airports, are within easy reach.

Rock Creek Park offers residents green space, picnic areas, horseback riding, hiking and biking trails along with an amphitheater, planetarium and nature center. C&O Canal is another popular park providing both trails and water access. Urban parks and community playgrounds dot the city.
